Advance. Protect. Illuminate.

Skin care that respects the barrier it works on

Powerful formulation is easy. Powerful formulation that skin can tolerate every night, for years, is the difficult part — and it is the part we design for first.

Our Approach

Results without the trade-off

Most visible skin problems — redness, flaking, sudden sensitivity, stubborn texture — are not caused by a missing miracle ingredient. They are caused by a compromised barrier being asked to do too much.

So every AVÉLORA formulation begins with the same question: what does this do to the barrier over ninety days, not over one week? Actives are dosed at concentrations supported by literature, then buffered with lipids, humectants and soothing botanicals selected to keep the skin capable of handling them.

We publish full ingredient lists, state concentrations where they matter, and describe what a product cannot do as clearly as what it can. If a result needs a clinical procedure, we will say so.

The Range

Four families, one routine

Designed to be layered without conflict — so a complete routine never asks the skin to recover from itself.

01

Barrier Repair

The foundation

Gentle cleansing, ceramide and fatty-acid restoration, and humectant systems that hold water in the upper layers. Built for skin that is reactive, over-exfoliated, post-procedure or simply tired.

  • Cream cleanser
  • Ceramide moisturiser
  • Barrier balm
  • Hydrating essence
02

Active Renewal

The correction

Retinoids, vitamin C derivatives, niacinamide and gentle acid systems — each formulated for stability and paired with tolerance support, with clear guidance on how to introduce them.

  • Night retinoid
  • Antioxidant serum
  • Resurfacing fluid
  • Targeted treatment
03

Daily Defence

The protection

Broad-spectrum sun protection and environmental antioxidants. The least glamorous part of any routine and the single largest determinant of how skin ages — so we make it a product people will actually reapply.

  • Daily SPF
  • Antioxidant mist
  • Pollution shield
  • Lip defence
04

Rituals

The experience

Masks, oils and treatments where texture and scent matter as much as function. Sensory design is not decoration — a routine that feels good is a routine that continues.

  • Overnight mask
  • Facial oil
  • Eye treatment
  • Body ritual

Ingredient Policy

What earns a place — and what does not

Our formulary is deliberately small. Every material has to justify its presence against tolerance, stability and evidence.

Actives with a mechanism

We use ingredients whose behaviour in skin is understood and measurable — not extracts included at trace levels for the label.

Concentrations that matter

An active below its effective range is decoration. If we cannot include a meaningful dose safely, we leave it out.

Fragrance by exception

Where fragrance is used it is disclosed, kept low, and omitted entirely from products intended for compromised skin.

Stability proven, not assumed

Antioxidants and retinoids degrade. Packaging, pH and formulation are chosen to keep a product effective to the end of the jar.

No animal testing

Our products are not tested on animals, and we require the same commitment from the suppliers we work with.

Building a Routine

Fewer steps, better sequenced

A ten-step routine is usually five products fighting each other. Here is the structure we design toward.

  • Morning: gentle cleanse, antioxidant, moisturiser, broad-spectrum SPF — every day, indoors included.
  • Evening: cleanse, one active, barrier support. One active per night, not three.
  • Introduce slowly: a new retinoid twice weekly for two weeks before increasing frequency.
  • Recovery nights: when skin feels tight or stings, skip actives entirely. Repair is progress.
  • Judge at twelve weeks: cell turnover and collagen respond on a season's timescale, not a week's.
Common Questions
The Barrier Repair family is formulated specifically for reactive and compromised skin, without fragrance or essential oils. Active products carry clear guidance on introduction, and we recommend patch testing any new product on the inner forearm for three days.
Yes, but not in the same layer. We recommend antioxidants in the morning and retinoids at night. This separates their optimal pH ranges and reduces the irritation risk of stacking two actives at once.
Formulations intended for retail undergo safety and tolerance assessment before release, and we work with dermatology professionals during development. We publish the specific testing carried out for each product rather than relying on a generic badge.
Yes. We work with clinics, medspas, pharmacies and specialist retailers, and we support private-label development for selected partners. Please see our partnerships page.
